Service Description

This course is the first course in the four-course State Fire Training Plans Examiner certification series. It introduces participants to the knowledge and skills required to perform the administrative responsibilities of plan review services. The course emphasizes evaluating plans for new buildings to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and jurisdictional policies and procedures. As the foundation of the certification pathway, Plans Examiner 1A prepares students to apply core principles of plan review with accuracy and consistency, establishing the groundwork for advanced study in subsequent courses.
